- ¼ c. light stick butter, softened
- 1-⅔ c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ c. unsweetened applesauce
- 2-¼ c. flour
- ⅔ c. baking cocoa
- 1-¼ tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. baking soda
- 1-¼ c. water
- ½ c. white chocolate chips
frosting:
- 3 oz. reduced-fat cream cheese
- ½ c. powdered sugar
- ½ tsp. vanilla
- 8 oz. Cool Whip Free
- 2 T. mini chocolate chips
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar. Add eggs, beating well after each. Add applesauce.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Add to butter mixture alternately with water.
Fold in white chips. Pour into a 13 x 9 pan coated with nonstick spray.
Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until done.
Cool completely.
For frosting, beat cream cheese
until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Fold in Cool
Whip. Frost cake and sprinkle with mini chips.
